Explore San Diego Harbor Aboard America Yacht

All Aboard America! Come see America's Finest City from an entirely new perspective - the deck of America, the historic 139-foot yacht. Enjoy beautiful views, stunning sunsets, and an introduction to the history of the world's most prestigious sailing race, the America's Cup. Guests aboard the America are also welcome to take turns as deckhands, hoisting the sails or even helming the wheel.

Owned by skipper Dennis Conner, the 4-time America's Cup winner and Olympic medalist, America is a historic replica of one of the sport's most famous boats. The original America won the first ever Royal Yacht Squadron regatta in 1851. The race would later be named in her honor: The America's Cup.

Sailing Through The Beautiful San Diego Harbor

Sailing the San Diego harbor aboard the America is a unique opportunity to learn about the historic race (older than the modern Olympics!), the trophy's first champion, and the state of the challenge cup competition today.

Relax and enjoy the view. Later, you can tell everyone you know that you helped sail Dennis Conner's America.

San Diego Sunset Sails

San Diego's harbor is the ideal location for a sunset sail, with the picturesque Coronado Bridge and a striking skyline as an unforgettable backdrop. As one of the world's most famous natural harbors, San Diego is a valuable naval, commercial, and recreational center. Sailors aboard the America will share the calm waters and wonderful views with navy carriers and battleships, sailboats, yachts, and even ambitious kayakers. Harbor seals and pelicans may also put in an appearance.

The weather is almost always perfect (the year-round average daily temperature in San Diego is 70), with blue skies and gentle breezes. America is beautiful, graceful, and commanding. The combination is a winning one. Dennis Conner and crew are so confident in your complete satisfaction, America even comes with a seasickness guarantee!

A 2-hour sunset sail aboard the America is a romantic choice for couples, and a memorable excursion for families or small groups. Book a sunset sail today aboard the historic 139-foot yacht, and experience the end of another perfect day in paradise as you drift by Seaport Village and other landmarks.

Dinner and A Harbor Cruise

America is also available to host your one-of-a-kind dinner or luncheon! Whether an intimate gathering for friends and family or a small corporate function designed to impress, America is ready to help you create a truly memorable event.

The 139-foot yacht includes a full-service kitchen and a small conference/dining room that can accommodate up to 16 people. Handle all the details yourself, or hire a professional to help plan your event - either way, America can accommodate a fully-catered, multi-course function.

Dine on the bay and enjoy the view of the nighttime skyline, or remain dockside and savor the sights and sounds of the harbor after hours. If your party is interested in a special VIP evening with Dennis Conner, be sure to inquire about his availability and America's Dinner With Dennis program.

Consider America for your personal or professional functions, such as an engagement dinner, anniversary celebration, or high-powered business meeting. America promises an evening your guests will never forget!

San Diego Public Boat Cruises

Experience the reality of the contemporary America's Cup regatta aboard sleek and dynamic 80-foot racing yachts. These modern International America's Cup Class (IACC) yachts slice through the water at a fast clip, and offer a truly exotic approach to sightseeing.

IACC yachts are the fastest monohulled sailing vessels in the world. They are designed to win races, so speed is guaranteed. During competitions they are crewed by as many as 17 people. At 114 feet, the masts are as tall as an 11-story building!

See the sights at racing speed! Dennis Conner's America's Cup Experience is a 2.5-hour tour of the harbor as you will never experience it anywhere else. The specially-designed, precision-tuned racing boats zip through the water and offer one of the fastest, most breathtaking adventures available.

Private Boat Cruises On Abracadabra, Stars & Stripes, and America

Sailing aboard an America's Cup yacht can be a very personal experience - and it can also be a very private one. Dennis Conner's America, the Stars & Stripes, and the Abracadabra are available for your exclusive use, by the day or the week.

Imagine sailing the California coastline aboard an 80-foot America's Cup racing boat such as the Abracadabra. These world-class IACC yachts are built for speed, but are equally well suited to leisure. Stars & Stripes and Abracadabra can accommodate up to 20 passengers each for full-day private charters.

Perhaps a private excursion aboard the historic America would be more your style. The roomy 139-foot yacht, complete with a full-service kitchen, can easily accommodate you and 89 of your closest friends for a memorable day-long sail. For a more intimate experience and overnight travel, America features sleeping/stateroom accommodations for 8. Rent her for a day and travel out to the Channel Islands and a stop in scenic Catalina, or take her for the week, cruising up the coast to Monterey or under the Golden Gate Bridge in San Francisco.

Outfitted with an experienced captain and crew, Dennis Conner's America's Cup yachts will take direction explicitly from you. Ahoy, skipper - and where to?

Renting to Race, Racing to Win

Dennis Conner's America's Cup yachts - two 80-foot IACC yachts, or the 139-foot America - are available to experienced sailors hoping to engage in friendly competition and a true America's Cup experience. You supply the crew, and we'll supply an experienced captain. For an additional fee, and pending his availability, it could even be world champion skipper Dennis Conner.

There are three racing options offered:

One-Boat Regatta - Reserve either the Stars & Stripes or Abracadabra and supply a crew of up to 20 racers. We'll provide any support crew necessary, a skilled captain, and we'll man our other IACC boat to complete the challenge. Our crews sail to win, so bring your A game.

Two-Boat Regatta - Reserve both of our 80-foot IACC America's Cup yachts, the Abracadabra and the Stars & Stripes, and sail head to head for all-important bragging rights. Assemble two crews of 20, and we'll provide support crew to back you up and two competitive captains to work them hard.

Three-Boat Regatta - All hands on deck! Reserve the trio of America's Cup challengers and get ready for a realistic America's Cup racing event. Gather two 20-member crews for our IACC yachts Stars & Stripes and Abracadabra, and two of our best captains will take the helms. We'll also provide additional crew for support. The America will serve as your Race Committee/spectator boat, utilizing the professional kitchen to offer food and beverage service.

To set up your own private regatta, contact us at 1-800-644-3454. Ask for our America's Cup Experience (ACE) Race Coordinator.
